Cement Crushers and Lump Breakers
Our renowned DELUMPER® cement crushers and lump breakers have been used by cement companies worldwide to help facilitate flow and increase efficiency. These units are frequently placed on the bottom of a silo to eliminate unwanted lumps that develop along the silo walls. They are also used in pipelines to eradicate agglomerations that have formed during processing. The cement manufacturing process begins with raw materials such as limestone and clay. These materials must be mined and then ground with a crusher to a fine powder, which is often referred to as raw meal. The ground material is heated in a cement kiln to temperatures as high as 1450 degrees Celsius. During this process, the chemical bonds break down and form new compounds. The resulting nodules are typically between 1mm and 25mm in size. These nodules, often referred to as clinker, are further ground with a crusher or lump breaker to a fine powder before being mixed with gypsum to create cement powder. For cement to be used in construction or any other application, the cement powder is mixed with water to aggregate to form concrete. Quality crushers are vital for cement production at each stage of the process.
The PIPELINE DELUMPER® in-line processor converts a solids-laden stream into a fully suspended homogeneous flow — instantly. It stops settling out, clustering and over pressure. The reduced particles are entrained in the stream, away from the pipe walls. Scale is dislodged from reactors, silos and tanks, and is crushed before it can impede the flow.
The PIPELINE DELUMPER can be configured to meet most application requirements. Units are supplied with standard 150# ASA flanges and can be supplied with up to 600# flanges. Packings, mechanical seals or nitrogen purge deals can be provided.
DELUMPER® LP crushers reduce cement agglomerates and lumps at an amazingly high volume. These straight-through units employ extended cutting teeth that rotate completely through a heavy bar cage. Over-sized cement solids, up to the unit’s full input opening, are reduced to nothing by this powerful processor. With each rotation, the teeth clean the slot openings, making the unit automatically self-clearing, showcasing it’s smart design. The result is an efficient, exceptionally low-friction cutting action that is excellent for large quantities of filter cake, agglomerated chemicals, fats, waxes, plastics, waste and more.
